Originally a 250 year old farmstead, GG’s Yard has been comprehensively restored and extended.

Its character still remains, however modern touches have been added; such as the glass front which looks out to sea.

All of the rooms have been created with weddings in mind, and these include the Whiskey Room which is a great place for the Groom to relax before the ceremony.

There’s also the Byre Lounge, which comes complete with comfy seats and log burners.

In terms of access you can setup the day before your wedding, and don’t need to remove any personal possessions until the day after.

There is also a wedding coordinator who will be present for the duration of your day, to make sure things run smoothy.

There’s a special room inside the farmstead called the Brides Room, which can be used for bridal preparation.

It comes complete with large mirrors, dressing facilities, and ensuite toilet, and also leads directly into the ceremony room for your grand entrance.

For overnight accommodation there are 10 Seaview Snugs, which can sleep up to 20 guests.

Each of them is individually themed and has a king size bed, ensuite shower room, sitting area, and patio where you can enjoy the views.

You will have the choice of both an indoor and an outdoor ceremony at GG’s Yard.

The Ceremony Wing inside the farmstead is full of original character, with stone walls and rustic exposed beams.

It also has a glass front revealing stunning views and letting in lots of natural light.

There’s even a baby grand piano which can be used.

Moving outside you have the beautiful Hilltop looking out to sea.

It’s a fantastic spot for wedding photos, and your guests can even be transported by tractor and trailer.

Assuming the weather is nice your drinks reception can be had outside on the terrace, followed by your dinner reception in the Grand Gallery.

The Grand Gallery has original stone walls, wooden beams, and a log burner, with fantastic views over the grounds and out to sea.

It can also comfortably seat 200 guests for dinner, and accommodate a further 150 guests for dancing.

Included in your wedding package are tables, chairs, linen, crockery, cutlery, and glassware.

The catering is handled internally at GG’s Yard by their team of expert chefs, with a professional kitchen having been installed in the farmstead.

Four sample menus have been created for you to choose from, although a custom menu is also possible if you’d like something different or have special dietary requirements.

In terms of bar facilities, you have GG’s Bar which is a separate room fully stocked with a variety of drinks.

Your guests will be able to pay by both cash and card, or you could run a tab if you are feeling generous.

There is no option to bring your own booze currently.

The Grand Gallery has more than enough space to fit in a band and put on a ceilidh.

In fact depending on guest numbers, you might not even have to move the tables and chairs.

Given the farmsteads country location, there is no sound limiter either.

Fireworks displays are permitted, and there’s a large pond in front of the venue ideal for launching over.

Last orders are at 11:45pm, with the venue having to be cleared out by 12:30am.
