West On The Green does primarily function as a bar and restaurant, so it’s not an exclusive use wedding venue.
However the two functions suites do give you a reasonable level of privacy.
In terms of green space you have the entire Glasgow Green on your doorstep, providing wonderful scenery which is unusual for city centre properties.

Originally built in 1892, Glasgow Green’s iconic Templeton Building was actually modelled after the Doge’s Palace in Venice.
The idea behind its grand facade was to guarantee its planning application would not be rejected.
However it was designed as, and spent most of its life as, a carpet factory.
Inside the architectural masterpiece, and in addition to the bar and restaurant, you will find two principal function suites: The Hop Room (12x5m); and the West Courtyard (18x10m).
It’s these rooms which can be used for both ceremonies and receptions.
You will also be allocated a wedding coordinator to help with any arrangements, and to provide useful advice.

There are no onsite accommodation options at West Brewery.
However you will have no problem finding hotels near West On The Green.
Glasgow quite literally has hundreds of hotels and B&Bs to suit all tastes and budgets.
The majority of which are only a 10 minute drive away.
If you choose to hire the West Courtyard function suite, you will have access to a Bridal Green Room.
West On The Green Ceremony

When it comes to your ceremony, you can either make use of The Hop Room or the West Courtyard.
The Hop Room is a more intimate space, with windows on three sides letting in lots of natural light.
In addition to its dark wood panelling it has contemporary neutral decor, and can comfortably seat up to 90 guests.
If you want something bigger, the West Courtyard can seat up to 200 guests.
However you could also get married offsite, and just use one of the function suites for your reception.

Similar to your ceremony, your reception can be had either in The Hop Room or the West Courtyard.
The West Courtyard is a mixture of industrial brewery and modern events space, and has a wall of glass overlooking the state of the art equipment.
In addition to its exposed brickwork and wood panelling, it has panoramic windows letting in lots of natural light and can comfortably seat up to 120 dinner guests.
It also has its own private bar, unlike The Hop Room, and can accommodate up to 200 evening guests.
If you would like something more intimate, The Hop Room can seat 64 guests for dinner and can accommodate 90 evening guests.

The catering is handled internally at West On The Green.
With their in house chefs creating German inspired meals, using the freshest Scottish ingredients.
Set menus have been developed, from which you can pick and choose two options per course.
And there are choices suitable for vegetarians, vegans, and those with gluten allergies.
Included in your package you will find chairs, tables, linen, crockery and glassware.
And of course being a brewery, there is a fantastic choice of drinks available.

Once your dinner is finished, the chairs and tables can be moved around to create a dance floor.
The Courtyard Room has plenty of space, and can comfortably accommodate a five piece band.
And whilst The Hop Room is a good bit smaller, it can still squeeze in a four piece band.
The tall ceilings and wooden floors in both rooms, make them great places for a ceilidh.

One of the big problems with city centre wedding venues, is finding a scenic location for your wedding photos.
However with Glasgow Green right on the doorstep, your wedding photographer should have no problems in this area.
