Originally built in the 14th century, Neidpath Castle is an L plan rubble built tower house with a very interesting past.

In addition to using it for your wedding, your guests will have the opportunity to explore and perhaps learn some medieval history.

Access is granted on the day for setting up, and you will need to remove your personal items by midnight.

Although there maybe some flexibility on this, depending on how busy the diary is.

Deliveries can also be made to the castle during the week, and stored onsite.

Sitting alongside the castle is Neidpath Cottage, which was created by converting the outbuildings.

It has a lovely sitting room, dining kitchen, master bedroom with four poster bed and ensuite bathroom, twin bedroom, bunk bedroom, and a separate bathroom.

In total it can sleep 6 people in its 3 bedrooms.

However most people go for the tower’s Laigh Hall, which can seat a maximum of 60 people.

Cooks & Co are who Neidpath Castle normally use, and they are very experienced at working at the venue.

There are onsite kitchen facilities too.

Bar facilities can be provided, with the Guard’s Room acting as the perfect pop up pub.

And your guest will be able to pay by cash and card.

If you would like to bring your own booze, this is also possible for a corkage fee of £5 per bottle.

Once your dinner reception is complete and it’s time for your first dance, the Laigh Hall can be transformed into a great dance floor.

Surprisingly you can fit as many as 150 guests in this space for a ceilidh.

And although midnight is when your hire package ends, you can extend this for £80 per hour.
