Loch Lomond Waterfront: 10 Reasons To Choose This Wedding Venue

Loch Lomond Waterfront

I recently spent a long weekend with friends at Loch Lomond.

Sadly it wasn’t at Loch Lomond Waterfront, but I did get to know the area well.

What a beautiful part of Scotland it really is.

The perfect place for a relaxing holiday, and possibly the perfect place for a unique wedding celebration.

Loch Lomond Waterfront can help you turn this dream into a reality, with its purpose built function suite and accommodation for up to 60 guests.

Let me show you exactly what this place has to offer, with 10 reasons to choose this wedding venue.

Loch Lomond Waterfront Location

Loch Lomond Location

Loch Lomond Waterfront is located on the East side of Loch Lomond.

I am reliably informed that this is the sunny side.

Either way it is an absolutely stunning setting, and only 20 miles from Glasgow.

If you live in Scotland’s largest city, the drive out will be short and pleasant.

Even a large coach should manage it in less than an hour.

The nearest village in Balmaha, which is nice and picturesque, and could come in handy for supplies.

It’s also worth noting that you are in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park here.

Loch Lomond Waterfront Exclusive Use

I imagine that most people will choose Loch Lomond Waterfront, because of its seclusion and privacy.

You can get complete exclusivity too, but you will need to hire all of the lodges and chalets.

In fact most brides choose to take the entire estate for a long weekend.

And if your budget can stretch to it, what an excellent way to prolong the celebrations.

More conventional one day events can also be hosted, and you can make use of the function suite without taking any accommodation at all.

Loch Lomond Waterfront

The main Function Suite is made up of three interconnecting rooms.

There is the Thistle Room, the Rob Roy Lounge Bar, and the Garden Room.

The lounge bar is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the log fire.

It’s also a great place to get away from the dance floor, should you choose to have your reception indoors.

I’ll discuss the other rooms later, however the south facing views over Loch Lomond need a mention now.

They are stunning!

Loch Lomond Waterfront Accommodation

There are no less than 11 chalets and lodges at Loch Lomond Waterfront.

Each of them is designed to have a contemporary Scottish feel, and they are all 5 star.

Ensuite bathrooms and fully equipped kitchens come as standard.

They each even have their own hot tub overlooking Loch Lomond.

Six people can be accommodated in each property, in a combination of king beds, twin beds, and sofa beds.

This means you can sleep up to 60 guests on the estate, in addition to the bride and groom.

Prices range from £125 to £355 per property, depending on the time of year.

And full breakfasts can be arranged if required.

Loch Lomond Waterfront Ceremony

You have a number of possible options, when it comes to your ceremony at Loch Lomond Waterfront.

How about exchanging your vows meters from the waters edge?

This will give you and your guests the most stunning backdrop.

If you are concerned about the weather, a star shade tent can be put up offering some shelter.

Failing that the Garden Room is a perfect indoor alternative.

It’s filled with natural light and can seat up to 100 guests comfortably.

A traditional church service is also possible, at Buchanan Parish Church which is only one mile away.

Or you could take a boat to Luss Parish Church, and have your drinks reception on the return journey.

That could be great fun.

Loch Lomond Waterfront Reception

The Thistle Room can seat up to 100 guests comfortably for your wedding breakfast.

It has nice high ceilings, and incredible views south over the loch.

If you require more space, the room can be expanded out onto the Loch View Patio.

This section will need to be covered by a small marquee, but it can accommodate and additional 40 guests.

Still not enough room?

Well for weddings of up to 250 guests, a fully serviced marquee can be put up on the private foreshore.

This is the perfect place to watch the sunset behind the islands.

You can even arrange a hog roast and a bonfire for the evening too.

Loch Lomond Waterfront Catering

The catering is handled internally at Loch Lomond Waterfront.

Their award winning team use locally sourced produce, to create the most exquisite menus.

The quality and service is of a high standard, largely because the owners take a personal interest in every event.

In terms of pricing, three course meals start from £40 per person.

And rise to £55 per person for five course meals.

Drinks packages also start from £27 per person.

Kosher and Halal catering options are available.

Plus all crockery and cutlery is included in the price.

You can even get a menu tasting for two, if you would like to sample the cuisine.

Loch Lomond Waterfront Grounds

The scenery is the unique selling point for Loch Lomond Waterfront.

The estate itself has 18 acres, and includes a private foreshore and ancient broadleaved woodland.

But it’s what your eyes can see in the distance that makes this place.

From the beautiful loch to the rolling mountains, this location can only be described as spectacular.

There are numerous outdoor activities to be enjoyed.

Some of Scotlands best fishing, sailing, and golfing to name a few.

There are also some lovely castles to visit in the area.

You and your guests should definitely take a full weekend to enjoy this place.

Loch Lomond Waterfront Honeymoon Suite Chalet

Assuming you take all of the accommodation at Loch Lomond Waterfront, they will give you the Drummond Chalet for free.

Considered the honeymoon chalet, it comes with a four poster bed, mood lighting, and a wood burning fire.

It also has a private patio with a hot tub.

Champagne on ice can be arranged, as well as flowers and chocolates.

You can even have a private chef cook a romantic dinner for two.

Loch Lomond Waterfront Wedding Packages

As with all wedding packages, there are numerous customisations that can be made to suite the individual.

However I will try and give you a rough idea of prices.

To hire the Function Suite from Friday until Sunday, it will cost you around £3,000.

For all of the accommodation for the same time period, you will need an additional £5,000.

This can vary a lot though, depending on the time of year.

Worth mentioning at this point, you can arrange fireworks and a bonfire also.

These cost extra, but sound really fun.

Loch Lomond Waterfront Conclusion

So those are my 10 reasons you should consider Loch Lomond Waterfront as your wedding venue.

Of course everybody has different tastes and opinions.

However if you are looking for privacy and seclusion, in the most picturesque location, with accommodation for 60 guests, and the possibility of a ceremony on the banks of Loch Lomond; then Loch Lomond Waterfront just might be the place for you.
