House of Turin is a stunning, five star exclusive use mansion, right in the heart of Scotland.

With its 10 beautifully appointed bedrooms, and numerous public rooms suitable for small and large gatherings, it is commonly used for corporate events and golf tours.

However it is also one of the best country wedding venues in Scotland.

And what would a wedding at House of Turin be like?

Well after a tour of the property and some careful research, I have the answer to that question.

Let’s take a closer look at what a House of Turin wedding would be like.

House Of Turin Location

If you are looking for beautiful Scottish countryside, privacy, and isolation, then House of Turin has it all.

Get away from the noise and congestion of the cities, and enjoy this secluded tranquil place.

Dundee is the closet population centre, and is 20 miles away.

Aberdeen is 50 miles, and Edinburgh is 80 miles, so access is pretty good from most major cities.

A benefit all wedding venues in Angus share.

If your guests are travelling from Dundee, then the drive will be short and pleasant too.

Not all wedding venues can provide you with this level of privacy, especially without compromising the available facilities.

House of Turin is very much like a boutique hotel, which you get all to yourself.

The exclusive use includes all the bedrooms, public rooms, and the grounds.

In addition to this, you can have it all for a long weekend, arriving on Friday, and departing on Monday.

This will allow you to extend the celebrations, and maximise the amount of time spent with family and friends.

You probably wouldn’t think it, but House of Turin was first built in 1659.

The original mansion was actually located on the banks of a nearby loch.

However in 1907 it was carefully moved, stone by stone, to its current site.

The interior is luxurious and comfortable, with stylish design throughout.

And the blend of both traditional and modern works beautifully.

It also has a very Scottish feel to it.

Clive Christian furniture and accessories are scattered around the bedrooms and the public rooms.

And the whole place really is exciting to explore.

Be sure to look out for the Ogilvy Bar and Games Room.

House of Turin can sleep up to 20 people comfortably, in its 10 beautifully appointed bedrooms.

Your guests will be able to look out their windows, and enjoy stunning vistas across the gardens and beyond to the Angus Glens.

On the first floor you will find 8 large double bedrooms, 3 of which have four poster beds.

These are serviced by 6 bathrooms, including an opulent master suite with a jacuzzi bath.

On the second floor there are a further two bedrooms, one with twin beds.

These rooms are a little bit more private, and away from the main cluster.

House Of Turin Ceremony

There are multiple locations you can have your ceremony at House of Turin.

Outdoors you have the beautiful stone circle, with your guests seated on the lawn.

Or there is the exterior courtyard, which can comfortably accommodate 150 people.

Indoors you have the glass covered tartan courtyard, which acts as a great rainy day backup.

It can seat up to 90 guests.

And if your numbers are small, the glass conservatory could be really beautiful, with its 60 person capacity.

These are just a few of the options available, and I think there is a great deal of flexibility on offer.

House Of Turin Reception

For your reception, a marquee somewhere on the grounds is a popular choice.

There are a number of potential locations with regards to this.

House of Turin has also recently opened a Wedding Room, which can accommodate 100 guests for dinner and dancing.

It is a light and spacious area, with double height ceilings and wooden beams.

You also have the option of a glass structure being put up, which extends over the courtyard and increases capacity by an additional 120 people.

This would be a great alternative to a marquee.

Or you could sit back and relax, whilst the House of Turin catering team provide everything for the duration of your stay.

The choice is yours.
