As far as wedding venues in Scotland go, Gean House is a pretty fantastic one.

The 20th century Edwardian mansion has a range of reception rooms, allowing a huge amount of flexibility to your day.

With manicured lawns and beautiful gardens providing the perfect backdrop for both outdoor ceremonies and wedding photos.

In addition to this you can also take the entire estate exclusively, giving you maximum privacy and tranquillity.

Let’s take a closer look at what a Gean House wedding would be like.

Gean House Location

Gean House is located about 7 miles east of Stirling, with a journey time of roughly 15 minutes.

Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Perth are all less than an hours drive away too.

This makes it a very convenient location for 4 of Scotland cities.

A major bonus of wedding venues in Clackmannanshire.

On arrival you will find plenty of parking for you and your guests.

And although the drive is a little bit narrow, access for large coaches is not a problem.

Would you believe that Gean House was actually a wedding present, from the Scottish woollen yarn magnate Alexander Forrester Paton to his son.

Taking its name from the wild cherry trees in the grounds, it was built in 1912 and designed to be softer and less formal than a traditional grand manor.

Solid walls and warm wood panelling, are complemented by open fireplaces and large windows.

It’s a very stylish and elegant house, and yet is still comfortable.

Your guests will be able to wander between the 7 receptions rooms, enjoying some peace and quiet in the Drawing Room, or perhaps a drink at the Bar.

There’s even a kids play room complete with TV and DVD player.

The possibilities are endless.
