Having started life as a traditional farmstead, Crear Weddings was converted into a wonderful events space and one of the most unique wedding venues in Scotland.
In addition to the tennis court sized Main Studio which can comfortably seat 100 guests for dinner, you also have over 200 stunning acres for outdoor ceremonies.
There are 6 modern ensuite bedrooms which can sleep up to 12 guests, and you can take the entire estate exclusively for a long weekend.
Let’s take a closer look at what a Crear Weddings wedding would be like.
Crear Weddings Location
Wedding venues in Argyll and Bute are well known for their spectacular scenery.
With Crear Weddings occupying a prime coastal position, looking directly across to the Isle of Jura.
Glasgow is the closest city at 100 miles away, and can be driven from in approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
It’s a fair distance for your guests to travel, but perhaps one of the most beautiful road trips in the world.
When you arrive you will find reasonable parking available right next to the venue.
And although the roads are narrow, coach access is possible if you would like to put on transportation.

Because Crear Weddings is an exclusive use wedding venue, you will be guaranteed absolute privacy for the duration of your stay.
And should you choose to get married at the weekend, that stay will be from Friday until Monday.
There are over 200 acres of beautiful grounds which come with the farmstead, but it’s the views which extend all the way to the Isle of Islay and beyond which make this place so special.
With an atmosphere which is both relaxed and inviting, and white sandy beaches on its doorstep; this venue truly is a romantic place for a wedding.
Crear Weddings Farmstead

Originally a traditional farmstead, Crear Weddings was converted in 2000 to create a unique and creative space for artists, writers, dancers, and musicians.
And whilst it still functions for these purposes today, it can also be used as a fabulous wedding venue.
The buildings interior has been designed to be warm and comfortable, with beautiful solid oak floors.
In addition to the bedrooms, there’s a cosy Living Room complete with open fireplace and a fully equipped Kitchen for self catering purposes.
Assuming you are getting married at the weekend, you will have access from Friday which will give you ample time for setting up.
And you won’t need to vacate the property until Monday.
The in house wedding coordinator will help you with any preparations, and they will be no more than a phone call away for the duration of your stay.

Perhaps the biggest unique selling point of Crear Weddings, is the simply stunning setting for an outdoor ceremony.
You can pretty much choose any location on the 200 acre estate, which includes the white sandy beaches.
And you and your guests will be guaranteed the most spectacular vistas.
There’s even a convenient vehicle track down to the beach which provides easy access.
Should the weather conditions not turn out to be favourable, or if you would rather an indoor ceremony, then the Main Studio can also be used for weddings.
In addition to this there are two local churches, South Knapdale Parish Church in Achahoish and St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Lochgilphead.
Crear Weddings Reception

Your drinks reception can be hosted either in the Main Studio, or preferably outside if the weather is suitable.
Followed by your dinner reception in the 18m x 10m Main Studio, which can seat up to 100 guests.
This beautiful blank canvas room comes complete with a 20m long continuous glass wall, which lets in lots of natural light and really brings the outdoors inside.
It also allows you and your guests to make the most of the spectacular views.
If you do require more space, then a Marquee which seats up to 200 guests is also possible.
It can be put up right alongside the farmstead, so you can still make use of the buildings facilities.
Included in your package you will find: round or trestle tables, white chivari chairs, white china, silver cutlery, and white linen.
Crear Weddings Catering

Delicious menus have been created using the freshest produce from land and sea.
And you can pick and choose from the range of options, to piece together the perfect meal.
Special dietary requirements can easily be catered for, and there’s a children’s menu available too.
You can also have catering provided for the duration of your stay, if you’re not in the mood for cooking.
In terms of the alcohol there is an extensive wine list to choose from, although you can bring your own for a corkage fee.
A cash bar can also be provided.
Crear Weddings Entertainment

After your dinner reception, the tables and chairs can be shuffled around to create a fantastic dance floor.
There’s plenty of room for a band or a DJ, and because you are in a secluded location there’s no need to worry about the music being too loud.
In fact because there are no neighbours to disturb, you will be given the option to put on a fireworks display for your guests.
Something which a number of wedding venues won’t allow.
Could be the perfect way to end the evening, with last orders being called at 23:45.
