Originally built in 1790, Carphin House was comprehensively upgraded in 2003 to create a boutique wedding events space.
In addition to the bedrooms you will find a country farm kitchen complete with AGA, a sitting room, a tv room, a sun room, and a dining room.
And it’s all decorated and furnished to a high standard.
Currently under construction there is also the Loghouse, which when complete will be a rustic barn style events space located a short walk from the mansion.
Access is granted from 10am on your day of arrival, and depending on the wedding package you choose, a wedding coordinator can be made available for the duration of your day.

Seven of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, and one of them is in a secluded part of the mansion making it the perfect Bridal Suite.
For hotels near Carphin House you have the self catering Balmeadowside Lodges, located a 10 minute drive away.
And there’s also the St Andrews Eco Cabins, 4 beautiful 6 person lodges, located a 15 minute drive away.
Both of these are ideal for additional guests who can’t fit in the mansion.

If you are interested in having an outdoor ceremony, and you are lucky enough to enjoy some nice weather, then Carphin House has some fantastic alfresco options.

If you are not so keen to brave the elements, then the new Loghouse has a dedicated ceremony space with floor to ceiling windows looking out on to the rolling hills and trees of Norman’s Law.

New for 2018 is the purpose built Loghouse, which has been designed as a blank canvas for couples to create the atmosphere they desire.
It’s nestled in the beautiful grounds and has a entirely glass front making the most of the views, and also flooding the space with natural light.
The interior is in the country barn style, and it has a fantastic terrace which is ideal for your drinks reception.
It’s a large space too with a capacity for up to 180 seated guests, but it can still be made to feel cosy with as few as 50 guests.
Included in your wedding package are tables and chairs, and the Loghouse also has luxury toilets.

The only neighbours are the local cattle too, so noise is not going to be an issue although fireworks are not permitted.
There’s also a late license in place, so the celebration can continue until 1am.
